Beat’n’Tracks for Someone New makes a unique individual gift, but it also works for a group.  Plan with a group of friends for a Baby Shower or Christening Gift, or enjoy preparing this with siblings, cousins or parents, perhaps for a very special First Birthday or Baby’s First Christmas.  Choose your favourite stories, and pair them with the music that makes your heart sing.  Parents and children alike will love this gift, and it’s sure to become a family favourite for quiet play, bedtime or car journeys!

How does it work?

Choose the book you’d like to read, together with either one or two tracks to ‘book-end’ your narration.  Introduce your book with a few words about why you’ve chosen it, and then read your story aloud.  We’ll make a professional recording of your introduction and narration, and then edit this together with your selection of music.  Each book reading should last 10 to 15 minutes.  You may choose to read up to 6 individual picture books, like Julia Donaldson’s stories, but if you decide on a longer children’s book, like a Roald Dahl or David Walliams book, for example, then we allow for a reading of 10 to 15 minutes for each narrator – probably around 2 chapters.  To include the whole book in your recording, just add more ‘narrators’ and selected tracks accordingly, even if you plan to do all the recording yourself.

What is included?

• Individual recording for a single narrator, or up to 6 participants reading different books or chapters
• Minimum of 1 book/chapter (approx 10-15 minute narration), selected and introduced by you, up to a maximum of 6 books or 1 hr 30 minutes narration
• Select either 1 or 2 tracks with each book, up to a maximum of 12 tracks in total, downloaded and edited into your final recording (in addition to narration time)
• Your final playlist as a digital set of MP3 tracks for download, together with pdf play-list, and ‘how to’ guide for export to Spotify, Apple Music etc.
• Optional extra to add a beautiful presentation box containing your final recording on a USB-A & C memory stick or CD

Where is the recording held?

We recommend recording in person for the best possible experience, quality of recording and personal touch.  We come to you with simple but professional equipment to prepare a successful recording in your familiar setting.  This allows you to relax, hassle free, and enjoy the experience! But there are several alternative interview formats to choose from to suit your convenience and budget, as follows:

1. Recording in your own home:  We come to you, price includes additional travel costs based on the distance from OX2 7QD.
2. Recording at Beat’n’Tracks office:  You come to us, at no additional charge.  Why not plan a visit to historic Oxford while you’re here?
3. Recording on-line using remote podcast software:  We send you a link to join on your computer or device, at no additional charge.
